TrialGPT: Find and Connect with Clinical Trials Worldwide

Advanced AI-powered clinical trial search platform that helps patients and healthcare providers find and connect with relevant clinical trials using intelligent matching.

What is TrialGPT?

TrialGPT is a research project developed by Foundation 29, which leverages the full potential of AI and language models to simplify the search for clinical trials and connect patients with researchers, making the process faster, more accurate, and accessible.

TrialGPT helps patients and healthcare professionals find relevant clinical trials by analyzing medical information and matching it with worldwide clinical trial databases. Our platform uses advanced artificial intelligence to extract clinical terms from medical documents, search for compatible trials, and generate easy-to-understand explanations about why a trial might be suitable for you.

How does TrialGPT work?

The fastest and smartest way to find the right clinical trial for you:

  1. Upload your medical report or enter text: You can upload a medical report (photo, PDF, or text) or use the search bar to enter a specific disease or medication of interest.
  2. Confirm the main information: Our system is AI-based and very powerful, but it needs to know your condition and where you are located to give you the best results.
  3. Filter and customize your results: Refine the results using additional filtering options to find the most relevant clinical trials for your specific needs.
  4. Understand the clinical trial: With the help of AI, TrialGPT generates a description of the clinical trial in simple language that you can understand. It also explains why the clinical trial might be good for you.
  5. Contact the researchers: If you want, TrialGPT generates personalized text to send to the doctors responsible for the trial.

All clinical trials shown in TrialGPT come from ClinicalTrials.gov and the CTIS (Clinical Trials Information System), the largest registries and databases of publicly and privately funded clinical trials conducted worldwide.

Privacy and Data Management

Foundation 29 has strict protocols for compliance with Data Protection Regulations. We do not store personal information and only use the minimum data necessary to perform the search. All data is deleted when the search is completed, and we do not make secondary use of it, which means we do not give it to anyone. Ever.

Medical documents are automatically deleted after extracting the clinical terms necessary for the search. Typically within 5 minutes of upload. Your privacy and the security of your data are our priority.

For complete transparency, we publish a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) that explains in detail what data we process, why, for how long, and with what security measures. This public document demonstrates our commitment to GDPR compliance and data protection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you keep my medical reports?

No. Medical documents are automatically deleted after extracting the clinical terms necessary for the search. Typically within 5 minutes of upload.

Do I need to accept cookies?

No. We do not use marketing cookies. Only technical telemetry (without health data) for the service to work correctly. No cookie consent is required.

Can I withdraw consent?

Yes. You can withdraw your consent at any time from the application or by writing to privacy@foundation29.org. We will block the use of your data and respect your decision.

Will my data travel outside the EU?

Not in essential processes. All main services (Azure, LangSmith) are in the EU region. If in the future we needed a provider outside the EEA, we would apply Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or disable that flow.

How are my medical documents processed?

Your documents are temporarily processed to extract text and relevant clinical terms. The original document is deleted immediately after. Only the extracted terms (conditions, treatments) are kept during your session to perform the trial search.

Who can see my data?

Only Foundation 29 and our technical sub-processors (Microsoft Azure, LangSmith) have access to the data, and only to provide the service. We do not share your data with third parties for other purposes.

What happens if I withdraw my consent?

If you withdraw your consent, we will block the processing of new data. Consent records are retained according to legal obligation, but no new medical documents will be processed.
